Congressman McEachin Announces Grants to VUU and VSU for Building Preservation

Richmond, Va. – Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) today announced three grant awards from the National Park Service to preserve historic buildings at two Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in his district, $274,278 for Storum Hall, and $493,815 for Vawter Hall at Virginia State University and $500,000 for Huntley Hall at Virginia Union University.

Congressman McEachin said, “I am so pleased and excited to see these resources coming into our district to help preserve these historic buildings at these very special schools. Both schools have a storied history in our community and our Commonwealth and I am so appreciative of resources to preserve their special historic architecture."
