ICYMI: McEachin Speaks In Support of The Build Back Better Act

In case you missed it: Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) attended two press conferences this week to speak in support of the Build Back Better Act to invest in America, boost the country's economy, give massive tax cuts to hard-working, middle-class Americans, and take decisive action on the climate crisis.

Rep. McEachin joined the League of Conservation Voters (LCV), Speaker Nancy Pelosi, & other congressional climate leaders to call for robust investments in climate & environmental justice priorities in the Build Back Better Act. Since the onset of negotiations, Rep. McEachin has been an outspoken advocate for strong climate protections in the Build Back Better Act.

“We’ve put together a package that Democrats can rally around, and environmental justice communities now are at the center of it," said Rep. McEachin (VA-04).

Rep. McEachin also joined Speaker Pelosi, several of his House colleagues, and high-level, nationally renowned faith leaders for a press conference hosted by NETWORK Lobby and Interfaith Partners. Leaders reiterated the importance of the Build Back Better Act, and their impacts for communities in Virginia and throughout the nation. Rep. McEachin spoke specifically about the need for strong climate provisions and our moral obligation to protect the planet for the next generation.

 “You never know who you're going to touch when you talk about taking care of God’s creation,”  said Rep. McEachin (VA-04). “And that's what we're here to talk about. That’s what we’re here, as Congresspersons, to do."
