April 11, 2017
Press Release

RICHMOND – Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) wrote a letter to the Postmaster General to address the recent closure of the Church Hill post office located at 414 N. 25th Street in Richmond, Virginia.

“For over 40 years the East End post office has served as a critical juncture for the economic and postal needs of the local community. I have serious concerns with how this closure will negatively impact my constituents, in particular the elderly and less fortunate,” wrote Congressman Donald McEachin. “In light of these concerns, I am asking that you restore access to a permanent postal location in the immediate area as quickly as safely possible.”

Congressman McEachin knows that constituents in East Richmond rely on this postal location to send personal correspondence, retrieve medical supplies, conduct business, and more. Congressman McEachin has also reached out to postal agency personnel responsible for this region. He has also contacted elected officials who represent this area to ask them to write to the Postmaster General and  join him in this effort to keep the post office open.

His staff is available for any particular need and concerns from impacted constituents.
