McEachin Announced $4.5+ Million Grant for Construction at Richmond Airport
WASHINGTON – Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) announced that the Capital Region Airport Commission received a $4,590,000 grant to complete work at the Richmond International Airport. The grant will fund the reconstruction of 3,600 feet of the existing Taxiway L pavement that has reached the end of its useful life.
“Richmond International Airport is a critical hub for our region. It not only serves Richmonders as they travel, but creates jobs, moves products and brings visitors to our area,” said Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04). “Renovation of Richmond International Airport’s taxiway is vital to the continued success of the airport.”
Congressman McEachin is dedicated to improving infrastructure in the 4th Congressional District. The Capital Region Airport Commission will receive this grant from the Federal Aviation Administration, housed under the Department of Transportation.
