McEachin Announces Grant Award from the Department of Health and Human Services to Virginia Commonwealth University
Washington, D.C. – Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) announced a grant award from the Department of Health and Human Services to Virginia Commonwealth University for oral diseases and disorders research for $354,564. The purpose of the grant is to improve oral, dental and craniofacial health through research, research training, and the distribution of health information.
"Oral disease has been correlated to a range of health problems, including heart disease and dementia,” said Congressman A. Donald McEachin. “Research into these serious ailments could lead to better healthier outcomes for many Virginians. This grant award is a testament to VCU’s dedication to building and maintaining a healthy community.”
