Press Release

RICHMOND – Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) issued this statement celebrating the March for Science:

“I commend the March for Science because it celebrates facts, actual demonstrable facts, and progress. Scientific facts provide us with the tools we need to create an ever-better world, to protect natural resources, to promote public health, and to preserve our environment – among many other positive outcomes.

“Those who deny science, deny the progress humanity made over thousands of years. Science has allowed us to harness resources and brain power to improve lives. Science and facts provide a road map for correcting mistakes and building on our progress.  I am proud to stand in solidarity with the March for Science today because to stand against science is to deny facts and progress at the expense of humanity and a limitless future. We can make the world a better, healthier, and safer place with science.”
