Press Release

RICHMOND – Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) issued this statement in observance of Yom Ha’Shoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day:

"On this Day of Remembrance, we must all recommit ourselves to "Never Again." In memory of the more than six million souls killed purely because of bigotry and hatred, we must dedicate ourselves to ensuring that we speak out against intolerance whenever and wherever we encounter it.

“Anti-Semitism, as we have seen all too recently, still plagues the world as do other kinds of heinous discrimination that attempts to separate people and make some inferior to others because of their religion, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. None of this is acceptable. This Day of Remembrance gives us another opportunity to promise to dedicate ourselves to eradicating all forms of prejudice and bigotry."
