Press Release

WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) offered a Motion to Recommit H.R. 1430 on the House Floor.

“EPA’s science-based decision-making process has saved lives and led to the dramatic improvements in the quality of air we breathe, the water we drink, and the earth we share,” said Congressman Donald McEachin in his remarks on the House Floor. “All Americans have benefited from the research-based scientific advice that scientists have provided the EPA -- and that is why I urge my colleagues to support my motion to recommit.”

McEachin’s amendment ensures that the EPA continues to use the best available science to respond to threats to public health, including black lung and asthma, caused by or exacerbated by exposure to pollution or toxic chemicals.
