McEachin Statement on EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt's Resignation

RICHMOND – Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) issued this statement on EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt's resignation:

"As disappointed and dismayed as I have been over the escalating ethical and monetary scandals that surrounded Scott Pruitt, I have always been most concerned that his cavalier attitude towards the environment in concert with his cozy attitude to dirty fossil fuel corporate bigwigs would cause this country irreparable damage. I hope the President, when he nominates Pruitt's replacement and the Senate when they hold confirmation hearings, will remember that the purpose of the EPA is to protect our land, air and water and to ensure we leave a healthier Earth to our next generation."
