McEachin on Trump's Tax Plan

WASHINGTON – Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) issued this statement following President Trump’s Tax Plan:

"President Trump has once again put his special interest friends ahead of hardworking Americans. The Trump Administration wants to slash the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 15 percent. This reduction would be a massive subsidy solely for corporations and the wealthy – at the cost of vital services families depend on. Not coincidentally, President Trump’s own business interests would likely see massive benefits. Instead of serving wealthy special interests, government should be investing in infrastructure, workforce training, and other initiatives to create opportunities for all Americans. I am deeply disappointed that President Trump does not agree.”
