Forum Focused on the Consequences of the Trump Administration’s Culture of Corruption on Public Health and the Environment

WASHINGTON – Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) as co-chair of the Democratic Environmental Message Team, with Leader Nancy Pelosi and Ranking Member Raúl Grijalva, hosted a “People Over Polluters” Forum. With a diverse panel representing scientific professionals, organizations that fight environmental ills and survivors of environmental ailments, the Forum discussed how the Trump Administration, with the tacit consent of the Republicans in Congress, are doing the bidding of dirty fuel lobbyists and industry special interests. In contrast, Democrats are working to protect our air, land and water, create green jobs and preserve our unique natural wonders and green spaces.

Congressman McEachin opened the Forum with brief remarks.

Rep. McEachin kicked off House Democrats' People Over Polluters Forum

“From the start, this president’s toxic team has chosen to advocate for special interests instead of everyday Americans. Their culture of corruption is undermining public health and irreparably degrading our environment,” said Congressman Donald McEachin. “We desperately need to change course - putting people ahead of polluters.  Every American must have clean air to breathe and clean water to drink. We need to ensure that our parks and public lands are accessible to all and preserved for future generations.”
