State Board of Health to Receive $1.4+ Million for Pregnant and Parenting Teens
RICHMOND– Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) announced that the Virginia State Board of Health received a federal grant of $1,476,005.00 to support pregnant and parenting teen programs in the state.
“This grant will help ensure that pregnant and parenting teens and their young children have access to resources that will offer them support for long-term success,” said Congressman A. Donald McEachin. “I’m pleased to see this grant funding support the health and education for the next generations of Virginians.
This grant was awarded to the Virginia State Board of Health by the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health and the Office of Adolescent Health; both offices are housed under the Department of Health and Human Services.
